Private Lessons with Darryl B
Darryl began studying saxophone with Seattle legends Ulysses “Jabo” Ward and Joe Brazil. Through Joe, Darryl began performing with touring musicians who were performing in Seattle. He went on to study at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, San Francisco State University, and Berklee College of Music before moving to Europe. Darryl lived in Copenhagen for 10 years, teaching saxophone students and jazz ensembles at Det Alternative Rytmiske Konservatorium. Darryl performed throughout Europe during this time, eventually returning to the Seattle area. He teaches saxophone and piano at Meter, helping students to find joy and confidence through musical practice.
