Niro L

Niro (he/him) is a performing brass musician and educator. He started playing music professionally as a teenager in South Florida, where he was principal euphonium in All State wind bands, bass trombone in All State jazz bands, and was a competitive marching band soloist. While attending University of South Florida, he was principal euphonium in the Wind Ensemble and was in the School of Composition.
After relocating to Seattle, Niro was the euphonium soloist with the Cornucopia Concert Band for five years, and performed with Brass Band Northwest and Greenwood Concert Band. He currently plays trumpet and flugelhorn in several contemporary jazz, soul, and r&b groups.
Niro supports students with both classical and jazz studies, and his teaching approach encompasses breathing, embouchure, tone, posture, reading, theory, and technique.
Niro's teaching philosophy focuses on the individual's expression and creativity, offering the means with which to play, perform, and write something truly genuine.
