Michelle (she/her) began learning cello in 2006, and now performs and teaches baroque, classical, jazz, and modern styles. She began her music degree at University of Missouri St. Louis at age 16, transferring to DePaul University after graduating high school. At DePaul she earned a Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in cello perfomance, in addition to a liberal arts degree. While living in Chicago she also taught music to youth through a local non-profit and performed with groups including the Chicago Composers' Orchestra and City Lights Orchestra.

Michelle's music career in Seattle has included soundtrack recording, solo album releases, and perfoming with Everett Philharmonic Orchestra. When she isn't playing music, she loves to go on hikes and city walks with her dog, Kipper. Her teaching approach focuses on instrument technique, interpreting musical ideas, and understanding music theory. Michelle teaches cello and piano to kids and adults at Meter.
