Brad T

Brad (he/him) has been playing music and performing for over 25 years. He was born in the Seattle area and raised in a multi-generational family of professional musicians and teachers. His great-grandfather Paul Tutmarc was the inventor of the first electric bass.
As an educator, Brad has worked with hundreds of youth and adult students in both rock ensembles and private lessons. He is experienced in a wide variety of styles including jazz, rock, blues, folk, indie, country, flamenco, and metal. He is currently the lead guitarist in a surf rock group, and hosts Long Story Short, his weekly radio show on Space 101.1 FM.
Brad is grateful for the collaborations and friendships that music has brought him over the years, and finds great joy in being a mentor to students in their musical journey.

Noelia N

Noelia (she/her) is a Costa Rican guitarist, singer-songwriter, and educator with over 10 years of teaching and performing experience. She earned her bachelor's degree in music education from Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica, and her background is in jazz, contemporary music, and Latin American rhythms.
Noelia's teaching philosophy is student-centered, adapting lessons to individual interests and learning styles. She has performed internationally, with projects focused on empowering women in the industry. She is passionate about creating inclusive learning spaces where students of all levels can develop their unique musical voices. Now based in Seattle, Noelia is excited to help students explore their creativity, build technical skills, and develop confidence in their musical journey.

Young-Chhaylee K

Please note - Young-Chhaylee works with guitar and ukulele students up to intermediate level, and beginner vocalists.
Young-Chhaylee (he/him) is a singer-songwriter who has been part of the Seattle music community for over a decade and has performed all over the country. He aims to help students find joy in making music, and loves to see students challenge themselves to strum, sing, and write some of their own songs. Young-Chhaylee teaches guitar, voice, and ukulele at Meter.

Cole (he/him) started his journey at age 12, learning Eagles tunes on his dad's acoustic, and has since become a versatile multi-instrumentalist fluent in a range of styles, from Rock, Metal, and Pop to Jazz, Funk, and R&B. He brings this broad knowledge and energy to every lesson.
A graduate of the University of Washington's rigorous Jazz Studies program, Cole is not only an accomplished player with performance experience but also a skilled teacher who can tailor lessons to any age and goal. Whether you want to master a specific genre, learn recording techniques, or just play your first song, Cole is ready to help you foster a lifelong relationship with music. Cole teaches guitar, ukulele, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, and music production to all ages at Meter.

Evan L

Evan (they/them) is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter with over 15 years of experience performing and teaching music. Evan's musical journey began in classical, jazz, and rock ensembles, and continued at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While at UNC, they performed with the Jazz Band, Symphony Orchestra, and Cuban Charanga Ensemble. In Seattle, Evan has performed with the Kraken Hockey Band, Sofar Sounds, and HONK! Fest West. Passionate about creating original music, Evan uses tools like Ableton Live and MuseScore to bring their ideas to life. For Evan, music is a way to reflect and rest in a busy world, and they share that joy with every student as a dedicated mentor. Evan teaches trumpet, piano, ukulele, and music production to kids and adults at Meter.

Carrie P

Carrie (they/them) is a musician and photographer originally from St. Louis, MO. Starting guitar and piano around age ten led to a lifetime of musical learning, joy, and experience across instruments. Carrie is grateful for the flourishing music scene of St. Louis, which nurtured their indie rock band, studies of music and culture at Washington University in St. Louis, and exposed them to vibrant arts communities from a young age. Since then, Carrie has performed solo and with folk trios in Colorado, studied music production, and coached bands at Seattle's Rain City Rock Camp.
Carrie specializes in rock, folk, and singer songwriter material. Lessons will always be a fun, non-judgemental, and creative space for students of all skills and backgrounds. Carrie aims to build general musical understanding alongside instrument specific technique, and empower students to find voice and community through the arts. Let's rock!

Ricky C

Ricky (he/him) has been studying, writing and performing music since his childhood, and has played guitar and piano for over 25 years. On guitar, he is most proficient in blues, rock, and post-punk. On piano, he teaches classical and popular styles.
Ricky's early piano training was with a professor of music theory and history, which formed the foundation of his musical knowledge. In his performing career, Ricky has released three albums and toured the United States. He is also trained in methods intended to address the individual needs of neurologically diverse populations.

Arami W

Arami (she/her) is a musician, author, educator, and UCLA graduate with a degree in World Arts and Culture. As a musician and poet, she has performed at KEXP, LANGSTON Seattle, Seattle Art Museum, and Northwest Folklife. As a recording artist, she has multiple releases available on all streaming platforms.
Arami is focused on building and uplifiting community through the arts. She teaches voice, guitar, piano, and ukulele to kids and adults at Meter.
