Flute Private Lessons

A classically trained flutist, Kristine (she/her) specializes in Brazilian choro and Argentine tango music. She performs with the tango trio Cafecito, is 2nd flute/piccolo of the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra, and is a guest musician with local choro groups Chorando na Chuva and Choro Tomorrow.
Kristine was a Teaching Artist with the Michael J. Owen Music Education Fund, Seattle Music Partners, and the Seattle Chamber Music Society with which she coached and supported flutists in 4th-12th grade.
Kristine earned a Master of Music from Carnegie Mellow University studying with Alberto Almarza and Jeanne Baxtresser, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying with Stephanie Jutt.

Elizabeth S

Elizabeth (she/her) is an experienced educator and musician. Originally from Illinois, she studied piano and flute from an early age into adulthood. She received her Bachelor's in Elementary Education with Music Specialty from Concordia University Chicago, where she played flute in the wind symphony and orchestra. Elizabeth brings years of experience as a classroom teacher and art/music teacher, and enjoys exploring a wide variety of genres with music students. She strives to create a supportive space where students can feel assured in their abilities and challenged to reach new goals. When not teaching or playing music, Elizabeth enjoys working on pottery, taking walks, and hanging out by Lake Washington with her family.
